# What is Online Pay? (Clover)

## Learn how to save time and even gain extra revenue, by allowing customers to pay their invoice online.

### What is Online Pay?

Online Pay is a feature that allows your customers to pay online. When the customer is sent the 'Ready for Pickup' text it will include a link to a checkout page. This page will outline their services, taxes, and any discounts or deposits. It also allows your customers to use other payment methods as well, such as Google Pay, Apple Pay or a different card than one that may be saved on file.

### How the Online Pay fee works

A $1.95 convenience fee is added to the customer's total when they pay online. You can set a higher fee to help offset your card processing costs.

Anything over the $1.95 convenience fee is deposited directly into your Clover Account. For example, if you set your fee to $4.00, the extra $2.05 goes to you.

To change your fee amount, go to **https://groomer.io/facilities** and select the **Online Pay Tab.**

### Steps to Enable Online Pay:

**Once you connect your Clover account to Groomer.io, Online Pay will automatically be enabled.** 

When your monthly invoice is due, we will calculate the total number of times **Online Pay** was used and include the corresponding amount on your [Groomer.io](http://Groomer.io) invoice. Since the **Online Pay** fee is added directly to your customers’ totals and processed through Clover, those funds are already collected and deposited into your account with the customer’s payment. The invoice line item simply reflects the fees collected through those transactions and remits the appropriate amount back to us.
